Each manuscript must be analyzed individually to assess the degree of difficulty with respect to content (a general paper might be easier to process than a highly specific one), writing (a well written paper is processed much more quickly than a poorly written one) and editability (for example, non-editable figures take up much more time than editable ones).

Most importantly, pricing will also be adapted to the country in which you are working.

Charging then depends on the type of assignment:

Translations are charged by wordcount* (numbers in tables are not counted), whereas
Editing is charged on an hourly basis*.

*In my philosophy, money should never get in the way of science. Hence, if you are a student and/or on a tight budget, be sure to mention this in your request-form so we can negotiate an affordable price.

Upon submitting your assignment, you will immediately receive an automated reply confirming that your request has been received.

I will then assess the assignment (unless stated otherwise in the automated response) and get back to you with a fix offer (translation) or a minimum-maximum estimate (editing), and an estimated time of processing.

Please note that I can also decline an assignment.

A binding contract between you and me will only be concluded after you confirm that you accept the offer/estimate and terms. I will immediately begin processing the assignment, but the completed assignment will only be delivered after receiving a proof of full payment.

I would like to remind you that a translator/editor has a right to threefold rectification. If the client is still not satisfied and can prove her reasoning, she has the right to a full refund.
